Our Commitments

Local storage

Your financial data is stored on your device. We have no server for your transactions.

No Account Required

No registration needed. You use the application anonymously without providing an email or personal data.

AES Encryption

Exported backups are protected by AES-256 encryption with a password of your choice.

Biometric Protection

Secure access to your data with your device’s fingerprint or facial recognition.

Optional cloud

Google Drive backup is optional and encrypted. It only happens if you turn it on.

No ads

We don’t sell your data, and the app has no ads and no advertising trackers.

Data collection

Portmoni never asks for your name, email or phone number. The data you enter (expenses, accounts, budgets) stays on your device. One automatic exception: if the app crashes, a technical report (device, version, error) is sent to Firebase Crashlytics so we can fix the problem.

Storage and security

Your financial data is stored in a local database on your phone, protected by the system’s app sandbox. This database is not separately encrypted. If you turn on the PIN or biometrics, access to the app is locked. Backups, on the other hand, are encrypted.

Backups and cloud

You can create encrypted backups (AES-256) with a password of your choice and, with Premium, send them to your own Google Drive account. The file is encrypted before any transfer: without your password it is unreadable, and we cannot recover it for you.

What goes over the internet

Exchange rates: when you manage your currencies, the app queries public rate services with a currency code, never your amounts. Voice input (Premium): uses your phone’s speech recognition, which may rely on Google services. Purchases: Google Play handles payment and a purchase token is verified with Google. Updates: the app checks Google Play for the latest version.

Your rights and deleting your data

Under the GDPR and privacy laws, you stay in control: you can edit or delete your data at any time in the app. Uninstalling removes the local data. Backups you created stay where you put them, and it is up to you to delete them. For any request, write to us at the address below. You can also erase everything at once in Settings → Data → Erase all my data.
